PLAYING BASKETBALL

Summarize what you did in this activity/project:

In this activity I played basketball every day for about two months. I trained with a friend of mine on all of those days, who taught me many things such as, tricks, posture, etc. I also learnt about the various rules that apply to basketball and even played many friendly matches with a lot of my friends.

Explain what you hoped to accomplish through this activity/project?

I hoped to get physically fit and stay in shape. I also hoped to reconnect with the sport I used to love playing before the pandemic hit. With that, I wanted to be able to develop new skills such as, fast and critical thinking, stamina, and sportsmanship.

How successful were you in achieving your goals? What difficulties did you encounter and how did you overcome them?

I believe I was very successful as basketball provided me with a good workout every day that helped me stay healthy and fit; it also helped me build on my stamina a lot as I was given the opportunity to engage in a lot of friendly matches. Moreover I did often become very sore the day after playing basketball as I wasn’t quite used to that much physical exertion, however I quickly overcame this problem by doing stretches every day before and after playing, this helped me give my best during practice and maintain stamina.
