UNDERSTANDING

I hope to be able to step out of comfort zone and tests my limits when trying new things. I also hope to explore a vast majority off activities I can engage in and gain new skills from through CAS. I hope to be able to collaborate with others and enhance my teamwoking skills.

What do you most hope to achieve from CAS?

How do you think your CAS programme will enable you to grow? How do these
areas of growth apply to the attributes of the IB learner profile?

I believe CAS has already enabled me to try new things that'll directly or indirectly affect me positively as I grow, the programme is built in a way to benefit us right now and in the long run. CAS has enabled me to go out ogf my way and comfort zone and initiate or take part in various different experiences which I normally would not have done , this helped become  a communicator, open-minded and reflective of all the experiences I do.

STUDENT INTERESTS

What are your main interests? How can you incorporate these interests into
your CAS programme?

My interests include, making art and reading, I incorporated these interests by trying to find my own art styles by making the spiral artworks, as well as joining yearbook to really test my creativity and writing skills, and attending the writer's workshop to improve even more on my writing and find my own style and form.

What issues of local significance concern you most? How could you address
these in your CAS programme?

This issue may not be very well established however it has always bothered me. My family comes from a line teachers/ professors , some of who teach at low income government schools with lots of children and underemployed staff. Many of them have struggled to correct any type of papers for very very long, some were even subjected to permanent wrist problems, they had no assistance and far too many papers to check. I can not really do much but help them and make their work easier, I believe I can help my own family members and other teachers alike reduce this problem through CAS service.

STUDENT PLANS FOR CAS

Have you made any plans for creativity? Activity? Service? For each, what
are you hoping to learn or do you have skills you want to develop?

I have made many plans for CAS that will incorporate some of my other interests as well such as astrophysics, chess, etc. I'm hoping to both develop and learn new skills through the process of CAS. Improve more on skills such as communication skills and develop skills such as critical sn logical thinking.

CAS LEARNING OUTCOMES

From the plans you already have, do you see any opportunities that may be
helpful in meeting these learning outcomes?

Yes, I do believe there are opportunities to meet the learning outcomes, as I will actively be able to persevere and develop new skills that will help me in the future.

EVIDENCE OF CAS

Have you thought of how you will keep evidence (and the types of evidence)
that you are engaging with CAS and are meeting the CAS outcomes?

For evidence, I will take picture and photographic evidence of what I have accomplished through CAS. I want to keep the type of evidence that accurately portrays everything I have done and not just bits and pieces, for example, for any service experiences I want to start taking videos to show the whole process, as for creativity I want to show the final product and highlight that more than the process itself.

How can you keep track of your plans and meet the learning outcomes through
your portfolio?

I can keep track of my plans by documenting everything in my wix portfolio, it's a good way to guide people through all the experiences I have done. As for learning outcomes, I can keep track of every little thing I have accomplished through my portfolio and based on that formulate what learning outcomes were achieved where.
