BOOK CLUB
Summarize what you did in this activity/project:
I am initially the vice president of the KIS literature club. In this activity, as suggested by the name, the whole club reads assigned books after which they engage in analysis, discussions, games, etc. We've conducted many sessions wherein we made them craft bookmarks, have a book switch activity, answer questions related to literature and character studies, assign reading time, etc. Each month we chose a book for the whole club to read, the book would always consist of 300 or lower pages for easy reading.
Explain what you hoped to accomplish through this activity/project?
I hoped to find a variety of different books that I can read and learn from, and I also hoped make others alike's love and passion for reading grow even more by creating a comfortable environment to read and enjoy.
How successful were you in achieving your goals? What difficulties did you encounter and how did you overcome them?
I believe I was as the people that joined the club thoroughly enjoyed the experience and were comfortable with each other. They also enjoyed the books we showed them and told them to read as well as the activities that encouraged more reading. People who weren't fans of reading joined as well in hopes of later enjoying this activity, we were successful in making that happen too.
