In this activity I continuously played tennis every day in order to improve on my skills. This is also a sport that I had previous experience with however lost contact with it after the pandemic. I played many rallies with my friend in order to see where I stood in tennis.

Explain what you hoped to accomplish through this activity/project?

I hoped to become good at this sport as I have always loved all types of racquet sports. I wanted to develop my skills in fast reflexes, as well as speed. With that I also wanted to improve my resolve for each play and make sure I formulated a good enough response to play back.

How successful were you in achieving your goals? What difficulties did you encounter and how did you overcome them?

I believe I was successful as I did improve at a very good rate since I started. I learnt how to execute many styles of playing such as adding ‘spin to the ball’. I also learnt to execute many tactics and strategies as well as improve my reflex timing with every move. However I did find it hard to control my swings, so I would often lose many of the tennis balls due to excessive strength with every hit. This not only is considered as a foul, but I also lost a lot of time just trying to find the lost balls when I could have been improving other aspects. I overcame this by practicing 3/4th court rallies which forced control of the ball, once I had adequate control we moved on to half court rallies which were considerably more harder to get the hang of, however this helped me improve my control very much, we were able to do longer and better rallies during full court because of this.
